2018-19 Hockey East Composite Schedule Released
Games Begin October 6; League Play Begins October 19

WAKEFIELD, Mass. - The Hockey East Association unveiled the 2018-19 men’s composite schedule today at the league’s annual media day at TD Garden. Each of the 11 member institutions will play 22 league contests as well as several featured non-conference tilts and tournaments. A full schedule can be found on the following pages.

Hockey East teams begin play Saturday, October 6 when Merrimack, Providence and Vermont open their regular-season slates while three other schools, Boston College, Boston University, and Massachusetts, welcome Canadian colleges for exhibition contents. Regular season play begins for all other schools Friday, October 12, when 10 teams take to the ice, including Providence at the annual IceBreaker Tournament, hosted by Mercyhurst.

Several special events highlight the season schedule in 2018-19, including the fourth iteration of Friendship Four Tournament. This year, Boston University and UConn will travel to Belfast, Northern Ireland over Thanksgiving weekend to attempt to reclaim the Belpot for Hockey East. ECAC foes Yale and Union will join the Terriers and Huskies overseas, hoping to retain the brass cowbell after Clarkson won the trophy in 2017 over Maine, Providence, and RPI.

The Hockey East season will culminate at TD Garden once again, with the 35th annual Hockey East Tournament returning to the Garden ice March 22-23. Tickets for the conference championship will go on sale later this year.
