	Dan Spang netted the game-tying goal for the Terriers.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College men's hockey team (6-4-1, 6-2- 1) jumped out to a 2-0 lead early in the second period, but Boston University (3-4-1, 3-3-1) came back and tied the Friars, 2-2, on Friday, November 18 in Hockey East action at Schneider Arena.

The Friars struck first at 7:00 mark of the opening period when senior Torry Gajda (Westfield, Mass.) skated down the left side and held off his defender, before firing his initial shot that was saved by BU's John Curry. However, the rebound came back to Gajda, who tucked the puck past Curry. The goal marked Gajda's team leading fifth tally of the season.

The lead increased to two goals at the 2:41 mark of the second period. Senior Nate Meyers (Maple Glen, Pa.) gained possession of the puck behind the BU net, skated in front and fired a wrist shot that was saved by Curry, but freshman Kyle Laughlin (Gambrills, Md.) took advantage of the rebound at the base of the left face off circle and snapped a quick wrist shot past Curry.

The Terriers began their comeback five minutes later as thanks to Bryan Ewing's second goal of the season. Peter McArthur made a cross ice pass to a wide open Ewing who lifted a wrist shot past PC goalie Tyler Sims (Fort Worth, Texas) at 7:33. At 9:48 of the third period, BU scored the equalizer as Dan Spang collected his first goal of the season. Spang's slap shot from just inside the blue line beat Sims to the blocker side.

The Terriers had a chance to win the game in overtime when Ewing had a breakaway early in the extra session, but Sims was able to make a left pad save as the puck trickled wide of the net. Sims made 29 saves, while Curry stopped 26 shots.
