UNH Collins 4 (Fortney, Butler), 3:29

Bobby Butler hit Thomas Fortney with a pass in the slot. Fortney skated through the slot and dropped a pass to Greg Collins, who cut in from the left wing. Collins’ shot from just outside the crease was stopped by UMass netminder Jon Quick, but he corralled his rebound and poked the puck inside the right post for his fourth goal of the season at 3:29. Butler and Fortney were credited with assists.

UNH 1, UMass 1 – First Period, 2:00 remaining
UMass Berry 7 (Leaderer), 18:00

UMass defenseman David Leaderer sent a backhand pass from the left point towards the right wing boards. Alex Berry played the puck off the boards and fired a turnaround slapshot towards UNH goalie Kevin Regan. Berry’s shot deflected off the skate of UNH defender Brad Flaishans past Regan to tie the game at one at 18:00. Leaderer picked up the only assist on Berry’s seventh goal of the season.

UMass 2, UNH 1 – Second Period, 19:54 remaining
UMass Capraro 10 (Quick, Burto), :16

Cory Quick handled the puck behind the net to the right of UNH goalie Kevin Regan. Quick fed a backhand pass to Chris Capraro at the left side of the net. Capraro skated across the goalmouth area, waiting for Regan to go down before firing a shot into the top left corner of the net 16 seconds into the period. The goal, his 10th of the season, was assisted by Quick and Matt Burto.

UMass 2, UNH 2 – Second Period, 6:03 remaining
UNH Rossman 1 (Vinz), 13:57

Shawn Vinz turnaround shot from the left point was blocked down in the left circle. Danny Rossman pounced on the rebound and wristed a shot from the slot that beat UMass goalie Jon Quick to the glove side at 13:57. Vinz was credited with the lone assist on Rossman’s first collegiate goal.

UNH 3, UMass 2 – Second Overtime, 18:30 remaining
UNH Butler 8 (Collins), 1:30

UMass forward Brett Watson was stripped of the puck by Greg Collins in the defensive zone. UMass defenseman Justin Braun and UNH forward Bobby Butler battled for the loose puck in the slot. Butler was able to gather the puck and ripped a shot that went through UMass netminder Jon Quick at 1:30 of the second overtime.
