HOCKEY EAST ANNOUNCES 2014-15 NESN BROADCAST SCHEDULE
NESN to Showcase Each Hockey East Program, 31st Annual Championship Tournament

NESNThe Hockey East Association and NESN announced today a telecast schedule of 19 games during the 2014- 15 season. Each of the 12 Hockey East member institutions will be featured at least once, as the slate includes exclusive Hockey East contests and both the 31st annual Men's Hockey East Championship and 13th annual Women's Hockey East Championship. A full schedule can be found below.

"This is a terrific schedule that launches the 31st year of operation for both Hockey East and NESN," said Hockey East commissioner Joe Bertagna. "We are particularly pleased that through the agreements with the conference and with UMass Lowell, all 12 of our institutions benefit from this schedule."

The NESN schedule kicks off with a pair of Friday night UMass Lowell home contests as the River Hawks seek their third consecutive tournament title. The defending regular-season champion Boston College Eagles visit the River Hawks Oct. 10 before Big Ten rivial Michigan travels to the Tsongas Center Oct. 24. BC and Boston University also renew their storied rivalry on Friday, Jan. 16, while Connecticut makes its first appearance as a member of Hockey East Feb. 21 at New Hampshire.

Sunday, March 8 will mark a Hockey East playoff doubleheader. First, the 13th annual Women's Hockey East Championship is set to air on NESNplus at 1 p.m. from the Hyannis Youth & Community Center in Hyannis, Massachusetts. NESN will then showcase men's first-round action at 4:30 p.m. The following weekend, March 14-15, will feature the men's quarterfinals before entering championship weekend, March 20-21.
