Sean Andrake will be Hockey East's Graduate Video Intern for the 2011-2012 season |
Wakefield, Mass. - Hockey East Commissioner Joe Bertagna has announced that Sean Andrake, a 2011 graduate
of the University of New Hampshire, has been hired as Hockey East's first graduate video intern for the upcoming
2011-2012 season.
Andrake will assist with the day-to-day video operations of the league, which includes working closely with Dick De-
Caprio, the Supervisor of Officials, on weekly video analysis.
"Sean brings exactly the right skill set to this position and we are very happy to have been able to attract him to our
staff," said Commissioner Joe Bertagna. "His familiarity with the league and with the latest technology will guarantee
that this new post gets off to a sound start."
Andrake, a Glen Rock, New Jersey native, most recently served as the video coordinator for the UNH men's hockey
team for the last four seasons (2007-2011). He provided in-game video breakdown for the team, in addition to editing
pre-game scout tapes and put together post-game analysis following each game. He also helped integrate SMART-board
technology into the Wildcats locker room last season.
He also served as an intern for the New York Rangers in the summer of 2010 at their training camp in Tarrytown, N.Y.
Andrake helped with the day-to-day operations of the player development camp and worked closely with the equipment
staff on various projects.
Andrake was the recipient of the UNH Hockey President's Award in 2011. The honor is a non-traditional award given
to those who dedicate themselves to the team seeking no personal recognition.
He also served as a hockey instructor at the Pro Ambitions Hockey Camp in 2008 and 2009, as well as the Dick
Umile Hockey School in 2009 and 2011.
The Hockey East Association is a 10-team Division I college men's hockey conference founded in 1984 and an eightteam
Division I women's league which began play in 2002-03. The men's league has won seven NCAA championships
in the past 19 years.
