~UNH's Grayson Downing named Top Rookie; UML's Doug Carr earns Top Goalie honor ~

Schaller scored five power-play goals, one short-handed goal and one
game-winning goal in November to lead the Friars to a 4-3 record (2-1
Hockey East) with eight points (7g,1a) in seven games. Scored his first
career hat trick on November 4 against Vermont at Schneider Arena. He
was named Hockey East Player of the Week (11/7) and earned Hockey
East Weekly Top Performer honors (11/14)

HOCKEY EAST GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH |
Doug Carr - UMass Lowell
Sophomore Goaltender; Hanover, Mass. |
Carr was a perfect 5-0-0 in November with two shutouts. The
second-year netminder stopped 112-of-119 (.941) shots to record
a 1.40 GAA in 300 minutes of action. Carr eclipsed 30 or more
saves twice, helped UMass Lowell record its first sweep of the
Black Bears in Orono since 1985 and became the first River Hawk
to post consecutive shutouts since 2007. He is currently carrying
a consecutive scoreless minutes streak of 128:08. Carr also tallied
an assist at Maine on Nov. 12.

PRO AMBITIONS ROOKIE OF THE MONTH |
Grayson Downing - New Hampshire

Downing recorded nine points (5g,4a) in seven November games;
other statistics included a .385 shooting percentage, one powerplay
goal and a +3 rating. He ranked first on the team in shooting
percentage and second in goals. Downing tallied a point in four of
seven games with three multiple-point efforts. He tallied personal
bests in goals (two), assists (two) and points (four) Nov. 22 at
Harvard. He followed that with a two-point performance (1g, 1a)
against Alabama-Huntsville. Downing opened November with two
points (1g, 1a) against UMass.
