Hockey East has released its preliminary school schedules for the 2013-14 season
BOSTON, MA — Hockey East commissioner Joe Bertagna released the preliminary individual school league schedules for the 2013-2014 season, Hockey East's 30th anniversary campaign. The season marks the debut of the University of Notre Dame, Hockey East's 11th institution. The University of Connecticut will join the conference for the 2014-2015 season.
"Fans will have the opportunity to see more non-league opponents as we move from seven non-league games this year to 14 for each institution next year," said Bertagna. "We will also expand our post-season tournament to include all 11 institutions over a three-weekend event."
The 2014 Hockey East Tournament will look like this:

The attached school schedules (PDF Format) represent the first draft as issued by the conference office. The 2013-2014 schedule features each school playing two league games against each opponent (as opposed to three under the existing policy). Some may be in the form of one home and one away; some may be two home, with two away the following year, or vice-versa.
Notre Dame will visit Boston College, UMass Lowell, New Hampshire, Providence and Vermont. The Irish will host Boston University, Maine, Massachusetts, Merrimack and Northeastern. Notre Dame's first league game will take place at the University of Vermont on Friday, November 1, 2013. Their first Hockey East home game will take place against Merrimack on Friday, November 15, 2013.
Selected in-season tournaments are included in the attached schedules. Schools may make changes to league
games to accommodate non-league opportunities, subject to approval by the conference office.
