HOCKEY EAST WEEKLY TOP PERFORMERS
Johnny Gaudreau, BC (Jr., F, Carneys Point, N.J.) – Recorded multiple points in both of BC's wins last week, with a goal and an assist in the Beanpot against BU, and then three assists in the Eagles' 6-1 win over Merrimack. His point streak has now reached 23 games, with 21 goals and 27 assists for 48 points during the stretch.
Bill Arnold, BC (Sr., F, Needham, Mass.) – Posted two assists in BC's 3-1 Beanpot win over BU, and then notched his first career hat trick on Friday night against Merrimack.
Matt Ronan, BU (Sr., F, Woburn, Mass.) – Scored the game-tying goal in BU's 2-2 tie against #7 UMass Lowell on Friday for his first career goal.
Brice O'Connor, ME (Sr., D, Londonderry, N.H.) – His third-period goal at Notre Dame on Friday night was both the game-winning goal and O'Connor's first goal of the season.
Conor Sheary, UMA (Sr., F, Melrose, Mass. ) – Scored a pair of special teams goals with a short-handed tally in Friday's 3-0 win at #11 Northeastern and a power-play goal on Saturday vs. #7 UMass Lowell to extend his goal-scoring streak to three straight games and his point scoring streak to five.
Michael Fallon, UML (So., F, Glenview, Ill.) – Recorded four points (1g, 3a) in UML's three-point weekend, including a career-high three points (1g,2a) on Saturday at UMass.
Mike Szmatula, NU (Fr., F, Commerce Township, Mich.) – Had three points (1g, 2a) in his Beanpot debut against Harvard last Monday.
Shayne Taker, ND (Sr., D, Surrey, B.C.) – Set up both of Bryan Rust's goals in a 24-second span of the final 1:08 of Saturday's 3-2 win over Maine.
Chris McCarthy, UVM (Sr., F, Collegeville, Pa.) – Posted a four-point weekend in a road sweep of New Hampshire. The senior had a goal and two assists in a 5-2 win on Friday, including his 100th career point in the first period. He added an assist in Saturday's 2-1 victory.
Brendan Bradley, UVM (Fr., F, Richboro, Pa.) – Registered a four-point weekend in a road sweep of New Hampshire. He posted a goal and two assists on Friday for his second straight three-point performance, and added the primary assist on the game-winner on Saturday.
