Puskarich had 3-2-5 in a weekend sweep at Merrimack. He scored a natural hat trick in the third period of a 4-1 win on Friday and added an assist. Puskarich posted another helper on Saturday in a 4-3 win and closed the weekend with 15 shots on goal and a plus-3 rating. Pro Ambitions

HOCKEY EAST WEEKLY TOP PERFORMERS

Thatcher Demko, BC (Fr., G, San Diego, Calif.) Made 33 saves for his second shutout of the season on Friday night against UML and followed up with a 28-save performance in a 2-2 tie with the River Hawks on Saturday.

Patrick Brown, BC (Sr., F, Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) Posted back-to-back two-assist games in BC's three point weekend against UMass Lowell.

Ben Hutton, Maine (So., D, Prescott, Ont.) Was 2-1-3 in Maine's weekend series at NU. Had an assist on Friay and scored two of Maine's three goals on Saturday, including his 8th power play goal of the season. Also tied the Maine school record for goals in a season by a defenseman with 13.

Devin Shore, Maine (So. F, Ajax, Ont.) Scored a goal and added three assists in Maine's weekend series at Northeastern.

Mike Collins, MC (Sr., F, Boston, Mass.) Led Merrimack College with a three-goal weekend against the University of Vermont. At one point, Collins had scored four consecutive goals for Merrimack before sophomore Justin Hussar scored the last goal on Saturday night.

Matt Willows, UNH (Jr., F, Congers, N.Y.) Recorded his second hat trick of the season as the Wildcats completed a home-and-home sweep of Boston University on Monday. He scored all three goals in the 3-1 win, including a shorthanded tally.

Mike Szmatula, NU (Fr., F, Commerce Township, Mich.) Had a goal and three assists for four points in NU's three-point weekend against Maine.

Colton Saucerman, NU (So., D, Colorado Springs, Colo.) Had a goal and two assists last weekend and had 31:06 of ice time on Friday, the most for any Husky in any game this season.

Austin Wuthrich, ND (Jr., F, Anchorage, Alaska) Scored a goal in both of Notre Dame's shutout victories over Boston University.

Brandon Tanev, PC (So., F, Toronto, Ont.) Scored a goal and added three assists for a four-point weekend as the Friars went 2-0-0 versus UMass. He had a goal and two assists to lead the Friar offense in Friday night's 4-3 win.

Chris McCarthy, UVM (Sr., F, Collegeville, Pa.) Posted a goal and five assists in a road sweep of Merrimack over the weekend. He put together a four-assist performance in a 4-1 win on Friday, the first by a Catamount in more than eight years.
