- All Eight Quarterfinal Teams Finished .500 Or Better In League Play -
BC, UML, PC and UNH will host quarterfinal series this weekend

(1) Boston College vs. (8) Notre Dame
Fri. 7pm, Sat. 4:00pm (NESN), Sun. 4:30pm at Conte Forum

- Boston College leading scorer Johnny Gaudreau (Carneys Point, N.J.) is the only player in Division I with 30 goals this season, and he has ten more points (64) than any other skater in the country.

- The Irish enter this weekend 6-0-1 in their last seven games, including a 2-1 overtime win at BC on Mar. 1, when freshman Vince Hinostroza (Bartlett, Ill.) netted the GWG 1:56 into the extra frame.

(2) UMass Lowell vs. (7) Vermont

- UML begins their title defense against their final regular season opponent, Vermont. Connor Hellebuyck (Commerce, Mich.) made 25 saves against UVM on Feb. 28 for his tenth career shutout.

- Vermont is looking to get back to the TD Garden for the first time since 2010, when they upset league regular season champion UNH in the quarterfinals, winning 1-0 in both games two and three.

(3) Providence vs. (6) Maine
Fri. 7pm, Sat. 7pm, Sun. 4:30pm at Schneider Arena

Season Series: Providence won, 2-0-0

Providence Record: 19-9-6 (10-5-2 Home)
Maine Record: 16-13-4 (1-10-3 Road)

- The Friars are trying to win their third straight quarterfinal series, after dispatching UNH in three games last year and upsetting UMass Lowell in 2012 (also in three games) as the seventh seed.

- Eighteen of Maine's 33 games this season have been decided by a goal or less, including six of their ten road losses. Despite this, the Black Bears have a goal differential of plus-23.

(4) New Hampshire vs. (5) Northeastern
Fri. 7pm, Sat. 7pm, Sun. 4:30pm at Whittemore Center

Season Series: New Hampshire won, 2-0-0

- UNH is 6-0-1 in their last seven games against the Huskies, including a pair of three-goal wins in a November series where Casey DeSmith (Rochester, N.H.) made 53 saves on 54 Northeastern shots.

- Only three Huskies have previously appeared in the Hockey East playoffs forwards Braden Pimm (Fort St. John, B.C.), and Cody Ferriero (Essex, Mass.), as well as goalie Clay Witt (Brandon, Fla.), all in 2011.
