#16 STEVEN IACOBELLIS, MASSACHUSETTS

Iacobellis factored in all four of UMass' goals in a 4-3 come-from-behind win Saturday night at Michigan State, posting a career-high four points on two goals and two assists. The sophomore forward scored the game-tying goal late in the third period, and set up the game-winning goal with 9.9 seconds left in regulation. Iacobellis also turned in a plus-three rating over the weekend series against the Spartans. Warrior

Poturalski recorded his first collegiate points in a 5-1 win over No. 10 Michigan in Ann Arbor on Friday night. The rookie forward dished out an assist, and scored on a one-timer in the third period. HOCKEY EAST WEEKLY TOP PERFORMERS

Zach Sanford, BC (Fr., F, Auburn, New Hampshire) Secured his first career points in an Eagles uniform with three assists in 6-2 win at RIT.

Jack Eichel, BU (Fr., F, N. Chelmsford, Massachusetts) Notched three points (2G, 1A) over the U.S. National Under-18 Team Saturday in exhibition play.

Rob Nichols, UConn (So., G, Dallas, Texas) Kicked out a career-high 41 shots in 2-1 loss, including 15 stops in both the second and third periods.

Cam Brown, Maine (So., F, Natick, Massachusetts) Scored both goals for the Black Bears in a 5-2 loss to Union, the first two-goal game of his career.

Patrick Lee, UMass (Fr., F, Calgary, Alberta) Recorded first three points (1G, 2A) in the Minutemen's first win of the season over Michigan State.

Evan Campbell, UML (So., F, Ljungby, Sweeden) Picked up four points (1G, 3A) in two games over No. 13 Quinnipiac, helping UML to a 1-0-1 weekend.

Hampus Gustafsson, MC (So., F, Ljungby, Sweden) Potted the overtime winner to lift Merrimack to a 1-0 victory over UConn and push the Warriors to a 3-0-0 start.

Brett Pesce, UNH (Jr., D; Tarrytown, New Jersey) Helped the Wildcats to a win over No. 10 Michigan with a goal and an assist, finishing +3 with six shots on net.

Derick Roy, NU (So., G; Lac Beauport, Quebec) Stopped a career-high 38 shots in a 3-0 setback at No. 6/4 Colgate in his first start of the season.

Mario Lucia, ND (Jr., F; Plymouth, Minnesota) Netted four goals in sweep of Lake Superior, including first career hat trick on Saturday.

Nick Ellis, PC (So., G, Millersville, Maryland) In exhibition play vs. U.S. National Under-18 Team, made 38 saves to preserve a 3-3 tie on Thursday night.

Mike Santaguida, UVM (So., G; Mississauga, Ontario) Posted a 38-save shutout in season debut, a 3-0 road win over Clarkson, helping UVM to 3-0-0 start.


HOCKEY EAST NEWS FEED

BIG TEN/HOCKEY EAST CHALLENGE: Hockey East took a 10-9 overall lead in the challenge standings with two road wins, UNH over No. 10 Michigan and UMass over Michigan State. The Big Ten collected four points on the weekend, splitting the pair of series.

FIRSTS: BC's Zach Sanford recorded first three points on three assists in 6-2 win over RIT; UMass's Lee's first three collegiate points game Saturday with a goal and two helpers; UML's C.J. Smith scored his first goal Friday night, posting three total points in 6-3 win over Quinnipiac; Poturalski chipped in his first points with UNH with a goal and an assist in the third period as Wildcat goalie Adam Clark won the first game of his career; Maine's Brown two goals in one game marked the first multiple-goal game of his career; Notre Dame freshman Jake Evans notched his first goal in a 5-1 victory over LSSU.

HEA CAREER BESTS: River Hawk d-man Jake Suter notched a career-high three helpers in 6-3 win over Quinnipiac; ND's Steven Fogarty scored a career best four points (2g, 2a) in 5-3 win over LSSU

BOSTON TERROR: Boston University has outscored its opponents 26-6 through three games, including two exhibition matches this season.

FIGHTING IRISH: ND's line of Fogarty, Thomas DiPauli and Anders Bjork combined for 10 points (3g, 7a) in Friday's 5-3 win.

FRESH BLOOD: Freshmen and sophomores scored eleven of 12 points in UMass's first win against Michigan State, with three-point nights for a trio of players: Iacobellis, Pigozzi, and Lee. Maine has used seven freshmen in its lineup this season while UConn holds nine rookies on its roster.

PC FIRSTS: Merrimack is a perfect 11-for-11 on the penalty kill this year, just one of six teams to retain an unblemished kill percentage to start the season.

WELCOME TO THE LEAGUE: UConn played in its first Hockey East league game Saturday at Merrimack, falling 2-1 in overtime.
