Gilmour registered two helpers for the Eagles in a 6-2 win over Colorado College Friday night. The sophomore forward also netted a pair of 5-on- 3 goals, including the game-winning strike, and tallied an assist against UMass Saturday to complete a five-point weekend. Warrior

In the first two Hockey East starts of his career, Dill kicked out a total of 69 shots, and posted a 2.51 GAA and a .932 save percentage, helping the Minutemen to 1-1-0 weekend on the road. He also backstopped UMass to its first Hockey East win of the year after making 42 saves en route to a 3-2 victory at Northeastern, and earned first star honors for his performance. Pro Ambitions

O'Connor anchored Boston University in net as the Terriers swept the weekend in a pair of close games against two Big Ten rivals at Agganis Arena. The junior netminder picked up his first career shutout with a 29-save performance in a 1-0 victory Friday night over Michigan State. He then stopped 38 shots Saturday to backstop the Terriers to a 3-2 victory over No. 14 Michigan. Hockey East

HOCKEY EAST WEEKLY TOP PERFORMERS

Alex Tuch, BC (Fr., F, Baldwinsville, New York) Riding a three-game point streak, including multi-point contests last weekend against Colorado College and UMass.

Michael Matheson, BC (Jr., D; Pointe-Claire, Quebec) Registered his third-career three-assist game Saturday over UMass.

Ahti Oksanen, BU (Jr., F; Kirkkonummi, Finland) Scored the Terriers only goal in 1-0 win over Michigan State and opened the scoring in a 3-2 victory over Michigan.

Rob Nichols, UConn (So., G, Dallas, Texas) Backstopped the Huskies to a 4-1 win over No. 15 Quinnipiac with 36 saves on Tuesday and picked up his first career assist.

Eric Schurhamer, Maine (So., D; St. Paul, Minnesota) Notched the game-winning goal over previously undefeated No. 20 Alaska Anchorage with 4:02 left in regulation.

Matt Morris, Maine (So., G; Ridgewood, New Jersey) Kicked out 55 saves, including career-high 33, en route to undefeated weekend over No. 20 Alaska Anchorage.

Zack LaRue, UMass (Sr., F, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario) Registered his first career multi-point game with a goal and assist in 3-2 win over Northeastern.

Adam Chapie, UML (Jr., F; Oxford, Michigan) Picked up four points (1G, 3A) against No. 14 Michigan and Michigan State.

Marc Biega, MC (Fr., D; Pointe-Claire, Quebec) Netted first two goals of his career, including the overtime game-winner, Friday at Mercyhurst.

Maxim Gaudreault, UNH (Jr., F; Annapolis, Maryland) Potted a pair of goals in 6-2 win over Colorado College, including short-handed marker, to match 13-14 total.

Garret Cockerill, NU (Fr., D; Brighton, Michigan) Collected first collegiate point and first career multi-point game with a pair of assists against UMass on Friday.

Sam Herr, ND (Jr., F; Hinsdale, Illinois) Scored three goals and added two assists in sweep of Niagara. Poured eight shots on net and finished plus-five.

Robbie Russo, ND (Sr., D; Westmont, Illinois) Tallied two goals and two assists in two wins over Niagara to compile a plus-five rating. Is tied for ND lead in scoring (3G, 5A).

Nick Saracino, PC (Jr., F; St. Louis, Missouri) Recorded both of the Friars goals in 2-2 tie with No. 3 North Dakota Saturday, including the equalizer with 39 seconds remaining in regulation.

Brody Hoffman, UVM (Jr., G; Wilkie, Saskatchewan) Pushed UVM to 4-0-0 with 21 saves in 2-1 victory over UConn on Saturday. Hoffman is 3-0-0 in 2014-15 with a 1.33 goals against average and .940 save percentage.

BIG TEN/HOCKEY EAST CHALLENGE: Hockey East holds a 16-12 overall lead in the challenge standings after taking three of four games during a road swing for both No. 14 Michigan and Michigan State. The challenge resumes Nov. 7 as MSU returns to New Hampshire and Notre Dame travels to Minnesota.

FIRSTS/MILESTONES: BC's Noah Hanifin scored his first goal Friday night ... Cam Spiro recorded first two-goal game as an Eagle against Colorado College; UConn sophomore Evan Richardson netted his first goal as a Husky on Tuesday vs. Quinnipiac; Maine freshman forward Malcolm Hayes notched his first goal in Saturday's 3-3 draw with Alaska Anchorage; UMass defenseman Oleg Yevenko skated in his 100th career game Friday at Northeastern; UML's Dylan Zink scored his first goal Friday night against Michigan; New Hampshire rookie d-man Richard Boyd collected his first career points with two assists against Colorado College; Merrimack's Marc Biega scored his first two collegiate goals in a 5-4 overtime victory at Mercyhurst; Northeastern's Garret Cockerill collected his first collegiate points with a goal and an assist against Massachusetts on Friday; Three Notre Dame freshman (Anders Bjork, Dawson Cook, Connor Hurley) recorded the first goals of their Irish careers against Niagara while rookie netminder Cal Petersen chalked up his first career shutout Saturday; Providence freshman defenseman Jake Walman recorded his first career point as a Friar with an assist in Saturday's 2-2 tie at North Dakota.

GOING STREAKING: BC forward Ryan Fitzgerald is riding a three-game scoring streak while teammates Alex Tuch and Teddy Doherty have three-game point streaks of their own; Boston University's 3-0-0 start is the first since its 2008-09 championships season; UMass Lowell sophomore forward Joe Gambardella has notched a point in all five games for the River Hawks (3G, 3A).

FRONT RUNNING 'CATS: Vermont has not yet trailed this season en route to its first 4-0-0 start since 2005. Prior to UConn's third period goal Saturday, the Catamounts carried a shutout streak of 135:31.

NICHOLS-BACK: UConn netminder Rob Nichols backstopped the Huskies to a 4-1 victory over No. 15 Quinnipiac with a 36-save performance. Nichols has kicked out 96 shots over his last three outings.
