Roy led the nation with seven points (4g, 3a) last weekend, including a four-goal performance Friday and three assists on the road Saturday. The junior forward is the first Husky to score four goals in a game since Dec. 29, 2012 at Harvard. He also earned a plus-7 rating over the weekend and became just the 34th player in Northeastern history to score 50 career goals. Warrior

Tuch scored the game-tying goal with 9.6 seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime Friday against No. 17 Vermont. He went on to score the game-winning goal the following night in a 6-5 victory over the Catamounts to end the weekend series with three points. Pro Ambitions

Petersen is honored as the Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight week. The freshman netminder turned away all 38 shots to post a shutout against Providence Friday night and stopped 70 of 73 shots on the entire weekend. Prior to allowing his first goal against the Friars Saturday, the netminder had not allowed a goal in 137:53 of play. Hockey East

HOCKEY EAST WEEKLY TOP PERFORMERS

Ian McCoshen, BC (Sr., F; Faribault, Minnesota) Scored his first two-goal game Saturday, striking once on the powerplay to lift the Eagles over the Catamounts.

Cason Hohmann, BU (Sr., F; Arlington, Texas) Paced BU to a 4-3 win over UNH Friday, scoring the first two goals of the game and chipping in an assist.

Jack Eichel, BU (Fr., F; North Chelmsford, Massachusetts) In a split weekend with UNH, registered four points (1g, 3a).

Matt Grzelcyk, BU (Jr., D; Charlestown, Massachusetts) Scored three goals and finished plus-two in two contests with New Hampshire.

Brian Morgan, Maine (So., F; Windham, New Hampshire) Recorded a goal and two assists in a sweep at Merrimack and netted the game-winner Saturday.

Nolan Vesey, Maine (Fr., F; North Reading, Massachusetts) Was named Army ROTC Second Star in each game at MC, collecting a goal and two assists in two games.

Matt Morris, Maine (So., G; Ridgewood, New Jersey) Went a perfect 2-0-0 at league foe Merrimack, stopping 54 shots to collect a 3.00 GAA and .900 SV%,

John Edwardh, UML (Fr., F; Calgary, Alberta) Compiled five points (3g, 2a) Saturday in a victory of UMass at the Tsongas Center.

Tyler Mueller, UML (Fr., D; Regina, Saskatoon) Dished out four assists in two games against UMass, finishing a plus-five on the weekend.

Kevin Boyle, UML (Jr., G; Manalapan, New Jersey) Amassed 74 saves against UMass to finish with 1.37/.958 numbers in 87:49 of play in two contests, going 1-0-1.

Brian Christie, MC (Jr., F; West Chester, Pennsylvania) Picked up three points (1g, 2a) in three games last week for the Warriors.

Jace Hennig, MC (Fr., F; Port Moody, British Columbia) Scored two goals in two games at home against Maine.

Warren Foegele, UNH (Fr., F; Unionville, Ontario) Had four points (2g, 2a) in two games against No. 2 BU, including assisting on the game-winner Saturday.

Danny Tirone, UNH (Fr., G; Trumbull, Connecticut) Went 1-1-0 against No. 2 BU, making a career-high 40 saves Friday at BU and stopping 71 of 79 total shots.

Clay Witt, NU (Sr., G, Brandon, Florida) Registered the fifth shut out of his career Friday, kicking out 27 saves against UConn, to climb to fourth all-time at NU.

Anders Bjork, ND (Fr., F; Mequon, Wisconsin) Registered three assists in a weekend split with the Friars, extending his scoring streak to five games.

Kevin Rooney, PC (Jr., F; Canton, Massachusetts) Helped Providence to a 3-2 road victory Saturday, registering his first multi-goal game with two tallies, including the game-winner.

Jon Gillies, PC (Jr., G; South Portland, Maine) Split a weekend series at Notre Dame, stopping 23 shots in a 3-2 Friar win Saturday to post 2.02/.909 numbers on the weekend.

Brady Shaw, UVM (So., F; Ottawa, Ontario) Potted three goals in a two-game series with No. 10 BC, pouring 10 shots on net and finishing plus-3.

Anthony Petruzzelli, UVM (Fr., F; Federal Way, Washington) Netted the game-winning tally Friday to down the Eagles, 3-2, and chipped in an assist Saturday afternoon.

Mike Paliotta, UVM (Sr., D; Westport, Connecticut) Collected three helpers at No. 10 BC and finished plus-five in two games.


HOCKEY EAST NEWS FEED

DOG POUND ROLLING: Northeastern is undefeated in its last eight contests, tied for the longest active unbeaten streak in the NCAA (Michigan Tech). The eight game roll is good for fifth-longest in school history.

ROY IN THE BOOKS: Northeastern junior forward Kevin Roy became the 50th Husky in program history to collect 50 career goals and notched his 117th career point to move into the top 30 point-getters in NU history.

BU AT NU FLEXED: NESN announced Saturday that the Feb. 28 game between No. 2 Boston University and Northeastern was selected as the NESN flex game and will air on NESN and NESNplus at 8 p.m. on the final day of the Hockey East regular season.

PALIOTTA POTTING POINTS: Vermont senior defenseman Mike Paliotta has registered a point in eight of his last nine games, upping his point total to 30 on the year (8g, 22a). Leading the Catamounts in points, Paliotta is seeking to become the first UVM defenseman to lead the team in points since 1977-78 (Louis Cote).
