~Regan named Player of the Year; Wilson named Top Rookie; Sneddon wins Coach Award~

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Senior goaltender Kevin Regan (South Boston, Mass.) of the University of New Hampshire has been unanimously selected
as the 2007-08 CCM / RBK Hockey East Player of the Year, the league announced today.
Regan dominated the top three statistical categories for goaltenders in Hockey East play this year, leading by large margins in goals-against-average (1.83),
save percentage (.940) and wins (18), and backstopped the Wildcats to Hockey East’s regular season title for the second consecutive year.
Boston University freshman Colin Wilson (Winnipeg, Man.) was chosen as the Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Year, nearly finishing among Hockey East’s top
five scorers in just his first season.
In just his program’s third year in Hockey East, University of Vermont Head Coach Kevin Sneddon was chosen by his peers as the CCM / RBK Bob Kullen
Coach of the Year. Following two sixth-place finishes, Sneddon steered his team to a third-place finish this year, ahead of even defending tournament champion
Boston College.
The other significant individual award winners to be honored at tonight’s annual Hockey East Championship Banquet include UNH’s Joe Charlebois (Potsdam,
N.Y.), the Old Time Hockey Best Defensive Defenseman and BC’s Matt Greene (Plymouth, Mass.), the Best Defensive Forward. BU forward Chris Higgins
(Lynnfield, Mass.) was chosen by the coaches, sports information directors and referees as the winner of the Len Ceglarski Sportsmanship Award.
