WAKEFIELD, MASS. -- NESN, New England’s most watched sports network; NECN, the nation’s largest regional news network; Cox
Sports, Cox Communications’ local sports service; and other NESN Plus channels will provide live coverage of the Hockey East Championship
game to all of New England on Saturday, March 22nd at 7 p.m. NESN will air live coverage of the Boston Bruins at Montreal Canadiens game
at that time.
“With the Bruins-Canadiens game scheduled at the same time as the Hockey East Championship we needed help to distribute both games
live,” said Sean McGrail, NESN president. “We greatly appreciate NECN agreeing to carry our Hockey East Championship and are grateful to Cox
Communications and all of our affiliates for their support in carrying the game on Cox Sports Television and other NESN Plus channels. “
NECN news director Thomas Melville said, “NECN is pleased to bring live coverage of the region’s premier conference championship to New
England college hockey fans. For those who turn to NECN news that night, we will provide 15 minute newscasts between periods of the Hockey
East Championship.” As it does for all major sporting events, NECN will provide full post-game coverage on Sports LateNight at 11 p.m.
