WAKEFIELD, Mass. - Hockey East has announced today, in partnership with StarGames and presented by TD BankNorth
Garden, that the Hockey East 25th anniversary DVD “25 Years of Hockey East - A Tradition of Excellence” will go on sale Saturday,
February 14 in hockey stores throughout New England, the New York metropolitan area and will be available online at www.hockeyeastonline.com. (

“We are very proud and excited to offer this piece of history to the New England hockey community. Hockey East owes a special
thank you to all the players, alumni and fans that have supported Hockey East and have graciously given their time to make this
DVD possible,” said Hockey East Commissioner Joe Bertagna.
This one of a kind DVD celebrates 25 years of the Hockey East Association with extraordinary highlights and never before
seen interviews with players and coaches that have made the league the most powerful conference in college hockey. The documentary
film tells the story of the league that started back in the fall of the 1983 season, as its five founding fathers, including Lou
Lamoriello from Providence College, a have brought home five NCAA National Championships since the league’s inception. From
Drury and Kariya, to Krog and legendary BC coach Jerry York we have captured the excitement that Hockey East has encompassed
over the past 25 years.
Special features in this documentary include: Hockey East Best All-Time Goals, a behind the scenes look at the 2008
Hockey East Championship Game, the Jack Parker roast, the comeback story of Merrimack goalie Joe Exter, UNH cribs and UMass-
Lowell’s community program.
Hockey East fans can pre-order copies of the DVD by logging on to hockeyeastonline.com. DVD’s will be shipped no
later than Saturday, February 14.
Fans will also be able to purchase the DVD on each of the 10 conference campuses during games, as well as the Boston
Bruins Pro Shop located at the TD BankNorth Garden.
The Hockey East Association is a 10-team, Division-I college hockey conference, with offices based in Wakefield, Mass.
Founded in 1983, the league has won five NCAA championships in the past 16 years. The conference also sponsors an eight-team
women’s league which began play in 2002-03.
