BOSTON COLLEGE FALLS TO HARVARD, 4-0

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Four difference Harvard players netted one goal each and freshman goalie Kyle Richter made 36 saves to lead the Crimson to a 4-0 non-conference victory over third-ranked Boston College before 2,918 fans in the Bright Hockey Center.

Senior Kevin Du and junior Alex Meintel each tallied 5-on-3 power-play goals and for the host Crimson (1-3-0), who earned their first victory of the season.

Senior Ryan Maki scored the game's first goal, the gamewinner, at 13:30 of the opening frame. Du doubled the lead at 14:45, just 29 seconds into the 5-on-3 power play.

Following a scoreless middle period, Meintel netted the Crimson's second 5-on-3 goal at 6:45. Freshman Alex Biega netted his first collegiate tally at 17:57 for the 4-0 final.

Richter recorded 14 saves in each of the first two periods and tallied eight saves in the third to earn his first collegiate shutout.

Cory Schneider made 24 saves for BC (5-3-0), which outshot Harvard, 36-28.
