Brock Bradford had two goals and an assist for the Eagles

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Senior captain Brock Bradford registered two goals and one assist and sophomore goaltender John Muse stopped 25 shots to lead top-ranked Boston College to a 5-3 non-league win over Bowling Green before 4,360 fans in Kelley Rink.

Boston College (2-0-0) led 3-1 after one period and 3-2 after two periods.

Bradford scored the Eagles' first two goals. The senior opened the scoring with a power-play goal at 8:01 and then doubled the home team’s margin with a shorthanded tally at 9:24.

After junior James Perkin's power-play goal put Bowling Green on the board at 11:25, BC junior Carl Sneep gave BC a 3-1 cushion with a power-play goal at 17:48.

Bowling Green senior Kevin Schmidt scored the middle period's lone goal on a shorthanded tally at 12:51.

BC scored the first two goals of the third period. Sophomore Joe Whitney netted his first goal of the young season just 18 seconds in, and senior Kyle Kucharski extended the lead to 5-2 with a man-advantage goal at 11:25.

Bowling Green (1-1-1) closed the scoring when sophomore Dan Sexton netted a shorthanded goal at 17:08.

The Falcons outshot the host Eagles, 28-18. Bowling Green senior Jimmy Spratt finished with 13 stops.
