BOSTON UNIVERSITY FALLS TO DARTMOUTH, 4-2

Junior forward Cason Hohmann scored a goal for the Terriers

BOSTON - The Boston University men's ice hockey team saw its winless streak reach five games (0-4-1) on Wednesday evening following a 4-2 loss to Dartmouth at Agganis Arena. The Terriers (7-10-2) got goals from junior Cason Hohmann and sophomore Matt Grzelcyk.

Hohmann opened the scoring just under eight minutes into the contest before the Big Green got on the board in the final minute of the opening period to make it a 1-1 game.

A power-play marker by Grzelcyk on a 5-on-3 gave the Terriers a 2-1 lead at 7:41 of the second, but the visitors were able to gain the lead before the end of the second before adding a shorthanded insurance tally early in the third.

No player on either team had a multi-point night, as nine Big Green players and six Terriers each picked up a point.

Dartmouth (3-11-2) held a 36-28 shot advantage and senior Nick Lovejoy earned first-star honors after his first collegiate goal gave the Big Green the lead with 1:19 left in the middle stanza.

Sophomore Sean Maguire made 32 saves in goal for the Terriers while sophomore Charles Grant picked up the win with a 26-save performance.

Junior Charlie Mosey scored Dartmouth's first-period equalizer and sophomore Brad Schierhorn made it a 2-2 affair midway through regulation.

With the Terriers skating on a power play early in the third, junior Eric Neiley forced a turnover and skated in before beating Maguire with his team-leading 10th goal of the season.

The shorthanded goal made it a 4-2 contest and the Big Green defense held that cushion for the remainder of regulation.

BU converted on one of its five power-play chances and killed off all four of the Big Green's man-up opportunities.

The Terriers will look to snap their skid on Saturday (Jan. 11) when they take part in the Frozen Fenway finale against Maine. The nightcap of the doubleheader at Fenway Park is scheduled to start at 5:45 p.m.
