HOW IT HAPPENED

UNH took a 1-0 lead at 8:06 of the first period as Salvaggio scored his 19th goal of the season. The play came when senior captain Matias Cleland (Longmont, Colo.) jarred the puck free from a scrum behind the BU net and passed the puck to Kelleher. He saucered a pass to Salvaggio who ripped a shot into the net past BU goalie Jake Oettinger.

The Terriers tied the game at 15:48 of the first period on a goal by John MacLeod, his first of the year. Jordan Greenway played a pass across the face of the blueline to MacLeod. He then fired a wrister through traffic and into the net.

Kelleher notched his second point of the night and fifth point in the last two games as he regained the lead for the Wildcats at 17:01 on a power play. Junior Cameron Marks (North Vancouver, British Columbia) started the play with a pass up the ice to Nazarian in the neutral zone. Kelleher had just come out of the penalty box and met Nazarian skating into the BU zone. Nazarian played a pass across the face of the crease to Kelleher who put it away.

Salvaggio put the Wildcats up 3-1 2:59 into the second period with his second goal of the game and his 20th of the season. Kelleher found Michael McNicholas (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) in front of the net who fired a shot that Oettinger saved, but Salvaggio crammed the rebound past the glove of the netminder.

BU made the score 3-2 at the 4:49 mark of the period and then tied the game at 6:59/ Chase Phelps tallied the second goal of the game from Kieffer Bellows while Patrick Harper scored the third and he was set up by Charlie McAvoy.

Nazarian tallied his second point of the night on his fifth goal of the year at 16:18 of the second period to make the score 4-3. Sophomore Chris Miller (Windham, N.H.) won a puck battle along the boards and sent a pass up ice to freshman Justin Fregona (Prince George, British Columbia). Fregona found Nazarian streaking in on the other side of the ice and sent a pass to him that he put away.

Dante Fabbro of BU tied the game at 4-4 at 18:43 of the third with a power play goal. Shane Switzer played Fabbro the puck who fired a shot through traffic into the net.

The Terriers took a 5-4 lead at 3:30 of the third period on a goal by Harper from McAvoy and Chase Phelps. They expanded their lead to 6-4 at 6:26 of the frame by Keiffer Bellows. The last two goals of the game came Bobo Carpenter at 16:27 of the third and by Clayton Keller at 17:53 on an empty net.
