Senior forward Julius Mattila scored two goals for the Eagles

BOSTON-Matt Filipe scored his seventh goal and Biagio Lerario put in his third to lead No. 10 Northeastern (17-9-3, 10-8-1 Hockey East) in a 3-2 loss to No. 5 Boston College (20-8-1, 13-6-0 Hockey East) on Thursday night at Matthews Arena. Craig Pantano made 31 saves for the Huskies.

Filipe tied his father, Paul Filipe, with 73 points for their careers at Northeastern.

Jordan Harris added his 17th assist of the season, while Riley Hughes, Julian Kislin and Jeremie Bucheler all had helpers for the Huskies.

Julius Mattila led the Eagles with a pair of goals with Logan Hutsko assisting on each. Marshall Warren also had a goal for Boston College.

The Huskies play the Eagles at Conte Forum in Chestnut Hill Friday night on NESN+ as they look to even up the home-and-home series.
