ST. CLOUD, Minn.- The No. 11 Northeastern men's hockey (4-1-1, 1-0-0 Hockey East) team faced its first loss of the season tonight, falling 2-1 to No. 14 St. Cloud State (1-1-2, 0-0-0 NCHC) on the road. The Huskies finish the weekend with a 1-1 record in the series, moving to 2-2 all-time against SCSU.
Despite the setback, two Huskies - Tyler Madden and Zach Solow - were able to extend their point streaks in St. Cloud. Madden, finding a feed from Solow and Ryan Shea, scored on the power play for Northeastern at 17:11 in the first frame. With the goal, Madden extended his scoring streak to three-consecutive games, while Solow now holds a six-game point run for Northeastern.
Between the pipes, Craig Pantano had a solid showing, stopping 31 shots on net for the Huskies for a .939 save percentage.
