Sophomore defenseman Jordan Harris posted two assists for the Huskies

BOSTON, Mass. - Mike Kesselring put in his second, Matt DeMelis deflected his seventh while Craig Pantano stopped 30 on the way to No. 12 Northeastern's (17-8-3, 10-7-1 Hockey East) 2-1 win and home-and-home sweep over No. 11 UMass Lowell (15-9-5, 9-6-4 Hockey East) Saturday night at Matthews Arena.

Jordan Harris added two assists and is now up to 16 on the season while Alex Mella had his first career point. Jeremie Bucheler added an assist as well. The Huskies had a great defensive effort blocking 17 shots and winning 19 of 30 faceoffs.

UMass Lowell had a goal by Reid Stefanson in the first period and 16 saves by Tyler Wall.

Friday night the Huskies beat the River Hawks 3-0 in Lowell.

The Northeastern men's hockey team return to Matthews Arena in a home-and-home series against Boston College on Thursday, Feb. 20 and Friday at 7 p.m on NESN and NESN+.
