Boston University sophomore forward Sarah Lefort (Ormstown, Que.) was the only unanimous First-Team All Star. Lefort's senior teammates Kaleigh Fratkin (Defenseman, Burnaby, B.C.) and Louise Warren (Forward, Pembroke, Ont.) were also named to the First Team, giving the Terriers three of the seven First Team selections. Boston College, the WHEA Regular Season Champion, placed two skaters on the First Team, with sophomore forward Haley Skarupa (Rockville, Md.) and junior defenseman Emily Pfalzer (Getzville, N.Y.) earning All Star nods.

Northeastern had the lone New England native named to the First Team in freshman defenseman Heather Mottau (Milton, Mass.). Vermont senior goaltender Roxanne Douville (Beloeil, Que.) was named to the First Team for the second consecutive season, after becoming the first Catamount in school history to take home an All-Star designation in 2012-13.

The Second-Team featured two players each from Boston College, Northeastern and Vermont. BC senior goalie Corinne Boyles (Wheaton, Ill.), the WHEA leader in GAA and save percentage, was named to the Second Team, along with teammate Lexi Bender (So., Defenseman, Snohomish, Wash.). A pair of NU senior forwards were selected, with Brittany Esposito (Edmonton, Alta.) and Kelly Wallace (Libertyville, Ill.) making the Second Team. From Vermont, sophomore defenseman Gina Repaci (Toronto, Ont.) and Amanda Pelkey (Montpelier, Vt.) were also named Second-Team All Stars.

The Women's Hockey East Association is an eight-team, Division-I college hockey conference which began play in 2002-2003, with offices based in Wakefield, Mass. The league also sponsors an 11-team men's league which began play in 1984-1985.
