AROUND HOCKEY EAST: Three Women's Hockey East teams completed weekend sweeps over the weekend, including a four-point league weekend for #8 Northeastern. The Huskies toppled Boston University twice, a rematch of the 2017 Women's Hockey East Tournament semifinals. Northeastern rookie Veronika Pettey (Potomac, Md.) picked up her first three NCAA points in the pair of victories, assisting on Matti Hartman (Etna, N.H.) overtime tally in Friday's 3-2 win before scoring a goal and adding an assist in Saturday's 5-1 triumph. Boston University freshman Kristina Schuler (Webster, N.Y.) also picked up her first collegiate points, scoring a goal Friday, while teammates Savannah Newton (Halifax, N.S.) and Nara Elia (Saskatoon, Sask.) both found the back of the net for the first time as Terriers in the series ... #3 Boston College downed #4 Minnesota Duluth in a pair of home games, 4-3 and 4-1. Caitrin Lonergan (Roslindale, Mass.) posted two goals and three assists, including Friday's game-winning goal, and three assists Saturday while rookie Daryl Watts (Toronto, Ont.) exploded for a hat trick goals and added two assists in the Eagles' sweep. Her first tally on Friday, a power-play marker, also proved to be the game-winner ... Maine earned two weekend wins at RPI to take three consecutive victories. Cailey Hutchinson (Hicksville, N.Y.) scored the game-winning goal at 5:49 of the third in a 2-1 comeback win over RPI Friday and tallied two assists the next day to help the Black Bears complete a sweep of the Engineers ... Providence split a home-and-home with Quinnipiac to start its season 3-1-0. Madison Myers (Colchester, Vt.) made 19 saves in a 3-1 win over Quinnipiac at home and turned in a 28-save performance in a 1-0 loss on the road on Saturday ... New Hampshire took three league points from WHEA opponent Merrimack with a 1-0-1 record. Ava Boutilier (Charlottetown, P.E.I.) backstopped the Wildcats with 55 saves while allowing just two goals to the Warriors. Marie-Jo Pelletier (Dalhousie, N.B.) tallied one assist in each of the two games, including setting up the game-winning goal in Saturday's 3-1 road win over Merrimack. ... Vermont traveled to UConn on Saturday for a one-game stint against the Huskies, coming away with a 2-1 victory in Storrs. Saana Valkama (Pirkkala, Finland) potted the decisive tally for the Catamounts while sophomore goaltender Sydney Scobee (Minnetrista, Minn.) registered her first Hockey East victory in the outing stopping 27 of the 28 shots she faced.

DARYL WATTS - BOSTON COLLEGE

Daryl Watts (Toronto, Ont.) scored three goals and added two assists in the Eagles' sweep of #4 Minnesota Duluth on the weekend, including scoring a hat trick in Friday's victory. Her first tally, a power-play marker, also proved to be the game-winner. The rookie fired 13 shots on net and was plus-three in two games.

VERONIKA PETTEY - NORTHEASTERN

Veronika Pettey (Potomac, Md.) notched her first three collegiate points as the Huskies swept Boston University and climb into first place in the league standings. Pettey set up the overtime goal in Friday's 3-2 win and scored her first collegiate goal on Saturday.

AVA BOUTILIER - NEW HAMPSHIRE

Ava Boutilier (Charlottetown, P.E.I.) went 1-0-1 in her first two games for the Wildcats, stopping 55 shots and allowing just two goals. The rookie netminder helped her New Hampshire squad to a threepoint weekend over league foe Merrimack.

HOCKEY EAST WEEKLY TOP PERFORMERS

Caitrin Lonergan, BC (So., F; Roslindale, Mass.) Posted two goals and three assists in a sweep of #4 UMD, including Friday's game-winning goal over the Bulldogs and three assists Saturday.

Toni Ann Miano, BC (Sr., D; Bronx, N.Y.) Dished out four assists on the weekend against the Bulldogs.

Kristina Schuler, BU (Fr., F; Webster, N.Y.) Registered her first two collegiate points Friday night against Northeastern.

Cailey Hutchison, ME (Jr., F; Hicksville, N.Y.) Scored the game-winning goal at 5:49 of the third in a 2-1 comeback win over RPI Friday and tallied two assists the next day to help the Black Bears complete a sweep of the Engineers.

Ebba Strandberg, ME (So., D; Kalmar, Sweden) Netted a goal and picked up an assist for her first collegiate goal against RPI.

Brooke Boquist, PC (Sr., F; Thunder Bay, Ont.) Scored the Friar's game-winning goal in a 3-1 win over Quinnipiac Friday, her third-straight game with a goal this season.

Chloe Gonsalves, PC (Fr., D; Toronto, Ont.) Earned her first NCAA point with an assist in Friday's win, setting up the Friars' first goal.
