BOSTON UNIVERSITY SWEEPS ROBERT MORRIS WITH 3-2 WIN

Moon Township, Pa. - October 7, 2006 - The Robert Morris University women's ice hockey team lost to Boston University 3-2 as the Terriers completed the two-game sweep at the RMU Island Sports Center on Saturday.

Robert Morris took over the game early with an offensive surge from sophomore Alissa Dorman (Madison, Wisc. / Madison Capitals) scoring back-to-back goals in the first period. Dorman connected from sophomore Laura White (Pennsauken, N.J. / Princeton Tigerlillies) at 12:01 for the first score and again with three minutes elapsing from junior Maria Olausson (Copenhagen, Denmark / Danish National Team) producing the 2-0 lead.

Boston didn't back down with a 2-0 deficit staring them in the face. Halfway through the second period the Terriers cut the Colonials lead to one with a score from sophomore Gina Kearns at the 9:31 mark.

With 2:26 left in the third period Boston took the 3-2 lead off a four-on-three power-play goal.

Freshman Heather Rossi (Kunkletown, Pa. / Wisconsin Wild) dazzled the crowd with several spectacular saves in net finishing with 26 saves total.
