Senior forward Kelli Stack had a hat trick and an assist for the Eagles

Kelli Stack scored her third hat trick of the season and Mary Restuccia, Melissa Bizzari, and Ashley Motherwell each tallied one to give Boston College a 6-2 win over Harvard at Kelley Rink on Sunday, December 5.

The win improves BC to 11-2-4, while Harvard falls to 4-5-2.

BC opened up scoring at 7:51 in the first period as Danielle Welch passed to Jessica Martino, who set up Kelli Stack to skate up the left wing and punch in a goal as she crossed in front of the net.

Harvard evened the score at 16:09 with a goal from Kate Buesser but Stack answered back at 5:30 in the second frame to give BC a 2-1 lead. She was assisted again by Welch in addition to Melissa Bizzari.

Mary Restuccia added another goal for the Eagles at 8:45 to up the score to 3-1. Then at 12:44, Stack tallied her third goal of the afternoon with assists from Katelyn Kurth and Bizzari.

Bizzari scored a goal of her own to start the third period, with assists from Stack and Welch. The Crimson attempted a comeback with a goal at 4:38 but Ashley Motherwell's 6:58 goal, with assists from Meagan Mangene and Taylor Wasylk, secured a solid win for the Eagles.

Molly Schaus made 25 saves, including 13 in the final frame for her 11th win this season.

The Eagles will break for the rest of December until they resume play on December 31 at Princeton for a 12:00 p.m. contest.

Game Notes: Kelli Stack scored her third hat trick of the season and fourth in her career, totaling 21 on the season and 83 in her career... her three goals and assists gave her a four-point game... Melissa Bizzari had two assists and a goal, while Danielle Welch recorded two assists... this is BC's first win against Harvard since February 10, 2009 when they defeated the Crimson to become Beanpot Champions... it is BC's fifth all-time win against Harvard.
