Senior forward Kelli Stack picked up the game-tying goal for the Eagles

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Despite a tying goal from Kelli Stack in the final frame, BC was unable to defeat Maine and ended in a 1-1 tie after overtime on Friday, February 11 at Kelley Rink.

The Eagles are now 19-5-5 while the Black Bears move to 10-15-5.

Maine opened scoring at 2:24 of the second period when Jennie Gallo intercepted a pass at the top of the crease and flicked it high above the head of BC goaltender Molly Schaus and into the back of the net.

The Eagles had three power-play opportunities in the second, but could not convert any of their 10 middle frame shots.

It wasn't until 9:01in the final frame that Kelli Stack was able to register a short-handed tally for the Eagles. After her first shot was denied, Stack picked up the rebound and fired it back until she was able to punch it between the pipes.

A scoreless overtime ended the game tied at one.

BC outshot Maine 38-14. Schaus stopped 13 shots in goal.

The Eagles will face the Black Bears again tomorrow night, February 12, at 7:00 p.m.
