Kelli Stack tallied two goals for the second time this weekend to lift Boston College over Northeastern, 2-1 on Sunday, January 30 at Kelley Rink.
The Eagles improve to 16-5-4, 10-3-2 in Hockey East while Northeastern falls to 14-9-4, 6-7-3 in Hockey East.
After a evenly matched first period, Northeastern broke open the scoring with a goal from Katie MacSorley at 1:37 in the second.
The Huskies' lead didn't last long. At 10:13, Kelli Stack picked up a pass from Danielle Welch and fired it past Northeastern goaltender Leah Sulyma to tie the score.
As the Huskies' pressure mounted, BC goaltender Molly Schaus stopped two hard slapshots and sent the rebound out to Stack, who skated the length of the rink for a short-handed goal at 13:10 to give the Eagles a 2-1 lead and eventual win after a scoreless third period. Schaus was credited with the assist.
Schaus made 26 saves in net for the Eagles.
The Eagles will host Connecticut at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 4.
