BOSTON COLLEGE SHUT OUT BY PRINCETON, 3-0

Junior goaltender Kiera Kingston made 24 saves for the Eagles

The Boston College women's hockey team closed out 2010 with a 3-0 loss at Princeton on Friday, December 31.

BC moves to 11-3-4, while Princeton is now 7-10-1.

The Tigers scored first at 8:25 in the opening frame before adding a second tally at 6:05 in the second period. Princeton made it 3-0 at 12:26 in the second for the final score of the game.

Despite the Eagles 24 shots on goal, 12 in the second frame alone, BC was unable to respond to Princeton's three goals.

BC goaltender Kiera Kingston saved 24 shots.

The Eagles will be back in action on Monday, January 3 at Yale.

Game Notes: Boston College finished 2010 with a 11-3-4 record...the Eagles faced the Tigers without five players... Kelli Stack, Molly Schaus, Blake Bolden, Meagan Mangene, and Taylor Wasylk participated in the USA Hockey Women's Holiday Camp in Blaine, Minn.
