Senior defenseman Peggy Wakeham scored the game-tying goal for the Catamounts

BOSTON - Senior co-captain Alyssa Wohlfeiler potted her second goal of the season as Northeastern and Vermont battled to a 1-1 draw. With the tie, the Huskies extended their unbeaten streak to five games.

The Huskies dominated play in the first period, as they outshot the Catamounts, 18-7. Northeastern was rewarded for its strong play with a goal 9:39 in the first period. Brittany Esposito gave the puck to Rachel Llanes behind the Vermont net. Llanes then fed Wohlfeiler in front of the net, and the senior forward beat Roxanne Douville (43 saves) for the 1-0 advantage.

After a scoreless second period, the Catamounts evened the score at 9:38 of the third period. Peggy Wakeham tallied her third goal of the season with assists credited to Erin Wente and Saleah Morrison.

The Huskies managed a pair of shots in the overtime frame but were unable to break through. The overall shots were 44-26 in favor of Northeastern.

Florence Schelling extended her unbeaten streak to four games after turning aside 25 saves. Julia Marty hit the net nine times, while Katie MacSorley registered seven shots on goal.
