CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Emily Pfalzer scored the game-tying goal with 1:27 remaining in the third period and Corrine Boyles made 35 saves as No. 6/7 Boston College tied No. 5/4 Harvard 1-1 at Bright-Landry Hockey Center on Saturday night.

Miye D'Oench gave Harvard a 1-0 lead at 3:22 of the first period when she beat Boyles with an unassisted goal. The Crimson took the one-goal lead into the first intermission despite the fact that BC held an 18-10 advantage in shots in the opening stanza.

The Eagles and the Crimson played an evenly-matched second period, as Boston College only had a slim advantage in shots in the middle stanza (13-12). Despite chances for both teams, neither was able to get on the board in the second, and the Crimson was able to hang onto their lead heading into the second intermission.

Pfalzer played the hero for BC as she was able to find the back of the net on a feed from Taylor Wasylk and Emily Field with just 1:27 remaining in the third period to knot the score at 1-1. The Eagles were determined to pull the score even as they peppered the net with 18 shots in the third period to Harvard's seven.

The Crimson more than double the Eagles in shots in the overtime period (7-3) but Boston College was able to hang on to preserve the tie.

Boyles made 35 saves and moves to 9-4-1. Emerance Maschmeyer stopped 51 shots and is now 7-1-2 on the year.

The Eagles were 0-for-4 on the power play while Harvard went 0-for-3 on the man advantage. BC had a 52-36 edge in shots in the game.

Boston College (12-4-2, 7-1-0) will now enter a month-long break before returning to action January 8 at Boston University.
