Hanover, N.H. - No. 1 Boston College women's hockey (17-0-1, 10-0-0 WHEA) downed Dartmouth, 6-1, in its final game of the semester. With their 6-1 victory, the Eagles extend their winning streak to 15 straight games, the longest ever in program history.

It took three minutes for the Eagles to find the back of the net as junior forward Alex Carpenter scored a backhanded goal-her 19th goal of the season-to give BC a 1-0 lead early in the first period.

Junior forward Haley Skarupa added BC's second goal ten minutes later, sending the puck past Big Green goaltender Robyn Chemago off a pass from Megan Keller from the point. Skarupa's 17th goal of the season put the Eagles up, 2-0, with 14:25 left to play in the first.

Late in the opening frame, senior forward Kate Leary netted a power play goal at the post to send the Eagles into the first intermission with a 3-0 lead over Dartmouth.

The Big Green was able to answer in the second period, capitalizing on its man advantage after Keller got sent off for tripping with 16 minutes on the clock. With Morgan Illikainen's power play goal, Dartmouth cut BC's lead to 3-1 with 15:48 to play in the second.

Two minutes later, Kate Leary took the puck behind the net and fed it to Dana Trivigno in the circle who notched her eighth goal of the season to regain BC's three-goal lead. Trivigno's sixth minute goal put the Eagles up, 4-1, with 14 minutes left in the second.

The Big Green created more opportunities in the second, with BC only holding a slight shot advantage (11-10).

The Eagles added two more goals in the third period. Senior defenseman Emily Pfalzer put away her third goal of the season on a centering pass from Carpenter to make it 5-1, Boston College with 13 minutes to play.

With just over two minutes remaining, Trivigno tacked on her second goal of the game on a power play to bring a final score of 6-1 into the Eagles' win column.

Katie Burt recorded a career high 29 saves against the Big Green, while Boston College tallied 33 shots on Dartmouth goaltender Robyn Chemago.

The Eagles have extended their winning streak to 15 games-the longest in program history-while also tying BC's unbeaten record (18 games).
