ORONO, Maine - Meghann Treacy stopped all 17 shots she faced and Nicole Arnold scored her first career goal to give the Black Bears a 1-0 victory over the Union Dutchwomen on Friday night.
The game was scoreless until the second period when Nicole Arnold scored her first career goal as a Black Bear 8:14 into the period. Assisting on the play was Jillian Langtry. The Black Bears outshot the Dutchwomen 28-17 through 3 periods, with Union goalie Melissa Black taking the loss saving 27 of 28 shots she faced. Her record drops to 0-10-4 on the season. Treacy's win in net gives her a 6-11-0 record and her 3rd shutout of the season (7th of her career).
The two teams are back at it again Saturday afternoon at 2pm at Alfond Arena.
