GAME RECAP
- Mackenzie St. Onge gave Dartmouth a 1-0 lead at 12:15 of the first period when she collected a loose puck in a scrum at the top of the crease and pushed a shot that trickled under Smith.
- The Big Green extended the advantage to 2-0 at with 62 seconds remaining in the opening stanza. From the right point, Tess Bracken's diagonal pass found Cecilia Lopez alone on the left doorstep and she deposited the puck into the open near side of the net.
- McManus' great individual effort trimmed the deficit to 2-1 at 2:18 of the second period. She collected the Tori Howran (Bancroft, Ontario) outlet pass, advanced through the neutral zone on the left wing and battled through a hook by a Dartmouth defender before falling to the ice and lifting a shot into the upper-right corner of the net.
- UNH immediately went on the power play but did not record a shot.
- With 5:30 left in regulation, Marie-Jo Pelletier (Dalhousie, New Brunswick) ripped a rising slapshot from the right point through traffic that caromed off the far post.
- The Wildcats called time out with 76 seconds remaining in regulation and pulled Smith in favor of an extra goalie. Moments later, Abby Chapman (Beverly Hills, Mich.) corralled a pass in the low slot and quickly wristed a shot on goal, but Honor redirected the puck into the right corner.
- Dartmouth's Christina Rombaut stole the puck in the defensive zone and skated through the neutral zone toward the open net with 30 seconds to play, but Pelletier retreated and blocked the shot, then blocked Rombaut's second chance at the left doorstep to keep the score 2-1.
- The Wildcats were unable to reenter the offensive zone, however, and the Big Green fended off the 'Cats for the victory.
