ORONO, Maine- The Women's Ice Hockey team took another win from Union College on Saturday afternoon, at Alfond Arena.

The Black Bears and Dutchwomen started the game off with a scoreless first period, but Freshman forward Tereza Vanisova came on strong in the second. Her first goal came at 7:24 into the period. Vanisova took a snapshot from the slot lifting the puck over the shoulder of Dutchwomen goalie, Kate Spooner. She was assisted by Jessica Vallotton and Brooke Stacey. The Dutchwomen came back to tie the game at 1, with a score from Caitlyn Mclaren. The period ended with a score of 1-1.

Vanisova showed up again in the third, scoring her second of the afternoon at 4:18 in to the period. Stacey got her second assist of the game on the goal. At the 10:57 mark, Vendula Pribylova gave the Black Bears some insurance, scoring their third goal of the game. She was assisted by Nicole Arnold and Vanisova.

Carly Jackson picked up her fourth win in net for the Black Bears, stopping 43 of 44 shots. Spooner stopped 70 of 73.

The Black Bears are back in action after the New Year, for a weekend series against Vermont, in Burlington on January 6th and 7th. They return to Alfond Arena on Friday, January 13th, at 7pm, to begin a weekend series with Northeastern.
