GAME FLOW & NOTES

- Just five minutes into the action, Caitlyn McLaren scored her fifth career goal for the Dutchwomen. Her wrist shot from the blue line found the back of the net. Morgan Ryan and Sierra Lee were credited with the assists.

- Junior Christina Putigna (Grimsby, Ontario) scored her first of the season 6:54 into the first period. Her attempted cross-ice pass deflected off of Union goalie Kate Spooner's skates.

- Exactly one minute later, Union regained the lead. Junior defenseman Arianna Kosakowski skated through the zone and slid the puck under the pads of Madison Myers (Colchester, Vt.). Sophomore Cheyenne Harris picked up the assist.

- The three first-period goals came in a 2:39 span.

- Kosakowski tallied her second of the game 5:51 into the second period. Rachel de Perio was again credited with the assist.

- Whitney Dove (Port Moody, British Columbia) answered from the blue line less than 30 seconds later. Neve Van Pelt (Mitchell, Ontario) pulled the draw back to Dove and was awarded the assist on the play.

- With just under seven minutes remaining in the second period Brooke Boquist (Thunder Bay, Ontario) buried a rebound for the Friars' first power play goal of the season. Avery Fransoo (North Battleford, Saskatchewan) grabbed the assist in the play that leveled the score at three.

- 4:43 into the third period, Kate Friesen (Altona, Manitoba) gave the Friars their first lead on the power play. Putigna and Madison Sansone (Lockport, N.Y.) tallied assists on the play.

- Sansone scored a power-play goal of her own midway through the frame. Assists went to Boquist and Putigna.

- Blair Parent (Blaine, Minn.) scored the Friars' third straight power-play goal, assisted by Meaghan Rickard (Coventry, R.I.) and Ariane Julien (Saint Hyacinthe, Quebec). It was Julien's first career point as a Friar.

- Maureen Murphy (Buffalo, N.Y.) scored her first career goal on an empty net with 18 seconds remaining. Friesen was credited with the assist.

- The last time the Friars scored seven goals was in a 7-3 win at Brown on Nov. 26, 2016.
