ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine women's hockey team tied their final regular season game against the Crusaders of Holy Cross, 0-0.

The first period had both teams locked in a stalemate as both goaltenders were perfect for their respective teams. Carly Jackson for the Black Bears made all three saves presented to her, while Jada Brenon stopped all nine shots she faced for the Crusaders.

The second period was more of the same as the Hockey East goaltenders continued both of their shutout performances. Jackson stopped six shots in the period, bringing her total up to nine for the game. Brenon tallied 12 saves in the period, bringing her total to 21 for the game.

The final 20 minutes were not enough to find a winner in the contest, which would cause the game to head to overtime, where it would remain a 0-0 tie at the end of it all.

Both goalies were on top of their game. Jada Brenon completed her evening with a 40 save shutout. Carly Jackson finished her evening with a 21 save shutout, her third of the season.

Maine will remain at home as they take on Hockey East opponent Merrimack on Friday, January 17 at 2:00 P.M. and Saturday, January 18 at 2:00 P.M.
