WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's hockey team lost Providence, 3-1, Friday night at the Hart Center on the team's Senior Night.
The Friars struck first, but the Crusaders would tie things up early in the second period off Carly Beniek's second goal of the season. Providence would take the lead back at the 12:33 mark off a Whitney Dove unassisted goal. In the third, despite Holy Cross' creating multiple chances, the Friars were able to keep the home team from equalizing and added a third as well.
Jada Brenon made 35 saves in goal.
1-0 PC (1st, 10:36, EV): The Friars got on the board first off an Isabella Hardy goal halfway through the opening frame.
