STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's hockey team erased an early two goal deficit but ultimately fell to No. 10 Boston College 5-3 on Friday evening at the Mark Freitas Ice Forum.
The Eagles, (3-2, 3-0 HE) jumped out to a 2-0 lead midway through the first period with goals from Kelly Brown and Hannah Bilka.
The Huskies responded with Savannah Bouzide scoring on a scrum in front to cut the lead in half and eventually head into the first intermission trailing 2-1.
The senior from Amherstburg, Ontario continued her torrid start to the season by scoring her second goal of the game and fourth of the season just 12 seconds in the second period.
For Bouzide, it was her second career multi-goal game. Her first one was a hat trick against Union in 2018.
Boston College retook the lead midway through the second and pulled away with a pair of goals in the third.
Freshman Katie Klassen scored her first goal of her career late in the third period to cap the score at 5-3.
The Huskies look to regroup with a quick turnaround on Saturday, Dec. 5 at Boston College at 2 p.m. The game will be shown on NESN.
