Senior goaltender Aerin Frankel earned her fifth shutout of the season for Northeastern

BOSTON - Alina Mueller had a goal and an assist, while Aerin Frankel made 14 saves to earn her fifth shutout of the season to lead No. 4 Northeastern (9-1-1 HEA) over UConn (5-7-1 HEA), 2-0, on Tuesday night inside Matthews Arena. Northeastern outshot UConn 31-14.

Miceala Sindoris scored the other lone goal of the game, her first of the season, just 3:27 into the second period. Peyton Anderson and Chloe Aurard had assists for the fourth-ranked Huskies.

No. 4 Northeastern will host Merrimack on Friday night inside Matthews Arena at 4:30pm. The game will be televised on NESN+.
