Chestnut Hill, Mass. - With 1.6 seconds left on the clock, freshman Emily Field collected a rebound from classmate Alex Carpenter and put the puck in the back of net to secure a four-goal comeback win for No. 5/6 Boston College women's ice hockey over No. 10/10 Dartmouth on Sunday afternoon in Kelley Rink. The freshmen both tallied three points to lead the Eagles (4-1-1, 1-0-1 WHEA) past the Big Green (0-1-0, 0-0-0 ECAC).
Early pressured from Dartmouth put three goals past Eagle goaltender Corinne Boyles (4-1-1) in the first 15 minutes of play, but the junior blanked the opposition for the remainder of the day to total 16 saves. Big Green netminder Lindsay Holdcroft (0-1-0) made 31 saves in her squad's season-opener.
Dartmouth opened the scoring at 14:16 into the first stanza, when forwards Camille Dumais and Kelly Foley capitalized on a breakaway. The duo pushed the puck back-and-forth up the ice, before Foley put the puck in front of Dumais on the edge of the right circle and beat Boyles.
Foley added her second point of the day just a minute-34 later, when Reagan Fischer and Margaux Sharp put the puck on net for Foley to pounce on. The captain notched her second goal halfway through a power play caused by a BC checking penalty. Dumais was credited with the assist.
Down three goals, Boston College was awarded a power play on a hooking call at 19:13 left in the first. When senior forward Mary Restuccia won a faceoff in the offensive zone, the puck came out to junior Blake Bolden back at the point. The defender sent the puck in to sophomore forward Taylor Wasylk, whose second goal of the season closed the gap by one, 3-1.
Boston College was 1-for-2 on power play opportunities, while Dartmouth went 1-for-4 in the hotly contested top 10 matchup.The Eagles' ability to limit DU to only three shots in the second frame put the momentum on BC's side.
The score remained unchanged until 7:08 was left in the second period, when freshman defenseman Emily Pfalzer and Field pushed the puck out of tight play to Carpenter skating through right circle. In one motion, Carpenter gathered the puck and hit the top of the net over Holdcroft's right shoulder for BC's second goal.
Two minutes and 12 seconds later, Field won another scrum and found Carpenter in slot to tie the game, 3-3, with another goal placed in the upper corner.
As time neared expiration, BC stepped up its pressure and when Carpenter hit Field for the game-winner with 1.6 second left it marked the second time this year the Eagles defeated a top 10 team in the final moments of regulation.

The win over Dartmouth was the second straight for BC.
The Eagles improved to 2-2-1 against the Big Green and 18-25-6 against ranked teams under Head Coach Katie King Crowley.
Through the first six games, Carpenter's nine points (5g, 4a) and Field's seven points (3g, 4a) are the second and third most, respectively, by a BC freshman since 2003. Only Wasylk's 12 points (6g, 6a) during the 2011-12 season is higher.
