PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College women's ice hockey team downed the Merrimack College Warriors in a 4-3 victory at Schneider Arena on Dec. 11. Providence took back the lead less than two minutes later when Thunstrom received a pass from Cassidy Carels (Bruxelles, Manitoba) on the point. Thunstrom quickly wristed a shot at the net that bounced past Ridgewell.

With four minutes remaining in the period, Providence went on a power play but Voight collected a shorthanded tally and knotted the game at two goals apiece.

Thunstrom added her second goal of the game after she received a breakout pass from MacPherson that sent her breaking into the Merrimack zone.
