BOSTON, Mass. - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team earns a 3-0 shutout victory over Hockey East opponent Boston University.

First Goal (1-0 Maine): After both teams went scoreless in the first period, Maine would score their first goal 3:34 into the second into the second period. The Terriers would earn a roughing penalty putting Maine on the powerplay where they would take advantage to score their goal. Maine was positioned in front of Boston University's net where Luisa Welcke passed the puck across the ice to Mira Seregély who then connected with Lilli Welcke positioned directly in front of the net who shot the one timer into the back of the net for the score.

Second Goal (2-0 Maine): 12:19 into the second period Maine would score their second of the game to extend their lead. Mira Seregély would set up the next score after stealing the puck away from a Boston University player and passing it over to Alyssa Wruble while she was skating down the ice and she flicked the puck perfectly into the top left corner of the net.

Third Goal (3-0 Maine): Maine's third goal came with only four seconds left in the third period. Lilli Welcke got her stick in between a Boston University pass and scored unassisted into an empty net.

Brooklyn Oakes collected her third collegiate shutout with 19 saves in net for the Black Bears. For Boston University, Andrea Brändli had 29 saves in net.
