BOSTON, Mass. - The University of Maine women's ice hockey completes a weekend sweep over Boston University with a 3-2 victory on Saturday afternoon.

First Goal (1-0 Maine): 9:58 into the first period Maine would score their first goal while being short handed. After the Black Bears were given a tripping penalty Alyssa Wruble and Mira Seregély would skate down the ice for a three on two battle in front of the Terriers net. Wruble passed the puck over to Sergély who was positioned in front of the net and she was able to guide the puck in for the first goal of the game.

Second Goal (2-0 Maine): Maine would score next on a power play 17:51 into the first. Elise Morphy started with the puck then passed it to Mira Seregély who skated around behind the Terriers net and to the other side passing the puck to Luisa Welcke who slapped the puck directly in the net. Third Goal (2-1 Boston University): The Terriers got their first of the game 2:58 into the second period. Madison Cardaci scored the goal unassisted.

Fourth Goal (3-1 Maine): Luisa Welcke scored her second of the day 6:23 into the third period. Welcke stole the puck from a Boston University skater behind their net and brought herself around to the front to score the goal unassisted.

Fifth Goal (3-2 Boston University): Julia Nearis scored the second goal for Boston University 9:08 into the third period. Haylee Blinkhorn and Tamara Giaquinto each picked up an assist.

Jorden Mattison had a very strong showing for the Black Bears in net, ending with 29 saves. Callie Shanahan earned 26 saves in net for Boston University.
