New Haven, Conn. - The Merrimack Warriors Men's Hockey team overcame a two goal deficit but conceded three third period goals to fall 5-2 to the Yale University Bulldogs.


The Basics

Merrimack (6-9-1, 2-6-1): 2, Yale (3-8-0, 2-5-0): 5

Yale would score the game's first goal just over eight and a half minutes into the game and would carry that lead into the first intermission. The Bulldogs would double the lead at the 7:45 mark of the second period.

Merrimack would get on the board late in the second as Christian Felton buried the puck in the Bulldogs net.

Felton tallied his second of the game on a pop up shot that would sail over the Yale goaltender's shoulder to tie the game at two goals a piece with half the third period to play.

Yale would score twice in two minutes to re-establish the two goal lead, and get the empty netter with 37 seconds left to capture the win.
