ORONO, Maine - The #9 University of Maine men's hockey team topped Northeastern, 5-1, on Friday night at Alfond Arena.

Fourteen seconds after Albin Boija stopped a Northeastern penalty shot in the first period, Bradly Nadeau put the Black Bears up 1-0 with his 15th goal of the season. A minute later, Sully Scholle made it a 2-0 lead that would hold into the break.

Northeastern pulled a goal back at 11:51 of the second period but Lynden Breen responded four minutes later for a 3-1 lead after two periods.

Five minutes into the third, Bradly Nadeau potted his second goal of the game to make it 4-1. Parker Lindauer then capped the scoring with his first career goal midway through the third.
