HOCKEY EAST HEADLINES

Katy Knoll had two goals, one in each overtime victory over New Hampshire on the week and her game-winning goal on Saturday gave her 20 in her career, moving her into a tie with Kendall Coyne Schofield for second all-time in program history. Northeastern is now unbeaten in its last eight and has won seven in a row.

Merrimack’s Calli Hogarth stood tall for Merrimack and backboned the Warriors to a pair of one-goal wins over Maine. The sophomore netminder stopped 71 shots and allowed just three goals. Freshman Maria Lindberg scored both goals in Saturday’s 2-1 win.

Vermont swept Holy Cross, 6-3 and 3-2 in overtime, thanks in part to three goals on the weekend from Natalie Mlynkova and four points from Krista Parkkonen who Collected two points (1g, 1a) in each game.

Boston College and Boston University traded 3-0 results in the final regular season meetings between the squads. Grace Campbell posted an 18-save shutout for the Eagles on Friday before Callie Shanahan returned the favor with 19 saves on Saturday.

UConn pushed its unbeaten streak in league play to 18 games (15-0-3) with a 1-0-1 weekend against Providence. Kathryn Stockdale netted a goal in each game for the Huskies, while rookie Ashley Allard nettedd the game-ginning goal in a 2-1 overtime win at Providence. The Friars’ Audrey Knapp converted the shootout winner to earn an extra point on Friday.

Katy Knoll - Northeastern

Katy Knoll (Gr., F; Amherst, N.Y.) had two goals, one in each overtime victory over New Hampshire on the week. Knoll scored the goal to spark Northeastern’s come-from-behind victory on Thursday at UNH and then had the overtime game-winner on Saturday at home. Knoll had two blocks and had a plus-three rating. She has scored four goals in four games and her game-winning goal on Saturday gave her 20 in her career, moving her into a tie with Kendall Coyne Schofield for second all-time in program history.

Maria Lindberg - Merrimack
Kaylee Lewis - Vermont

Maria Lindberg (Fr., F; Stockholm, Sweden) netted both goals in Merrimack’s two-goal comeback in a 2-1 victory over Maine on Saturday. It was her first career two-goal game.

Kaylee Lewis (Fr., F; McKinney, Texas) scored twice, including the game-tying and game-winning goals, in a 6-3 win over Holy Cross on Friday. She followed up with an assist on the go-ahead goal of an eventual 3-2 win the next day.

Krista Parkkonen - Vermont

Krista Parkkonen (So., D; Lapeenranta, Finland) collected two points (1g, 1a) in each game of a weekend sweep of Holy Cross and finished with a plus-four rating on the weekend and blocked two shots.

Calli Hogarth - Merrimack

Calli Hogarth (So., G; Barrie, Ont.) earned two one-goal wins for Merrimack in a sweep of Maine, vaulting the Warriors into eighth place in the Army ROTC Hockey East standings and just five points away from an opening-round bye. She saw double-digit shots in every period of the two-game set and made 71 saves while allowing just three goals.


HOCKEY EAST TOP PERFORMERS

Julia Pellerin, BC (Fr., F; Windham, N.H.) Netted the game-winning goal in a 3-0 win over BU on Friday.

Grace Campbell, BC (So., G; Kensington, Md.) Posted an 18-save shutout of Boston University on Friday. She stopped 28 shots the next day in a 3-0 setback.

Callie Shanahan, BU (Jr., G; Commerce, Mich.) Earned a 3-0 shutout win, her first perfect game since Oct. 2, 2021, with a 19-save performance against Boston College on Saturday.

Nadia Mattivi, BU (Gr., D; Baselga di Pine, Trento, Italy) Recorded two primary assists in a 3-0 win over Boston College on Saturday.

Liv Haag, BU (Jr., F; Robbinsdale, Minn.) Scored her first career goal that proved to be the game-winning strike while shorthanded in a 3-0 win over Boston College on Saturday.

Kathryn Stockdale, UConn (Sr., F; Ottawa, Ont.) Netted a goal in each of UConn’s games against Providence this weekend, going 1-0-1 to extend the Huskies’ unbeaten streak to 18 games in Hockey East play (15-0-3). She scored the game-tying goal with 1:39 remaining in regulation at Providence on Friday in a 2-2 tie before opening the scoring in a 2-1 win on Saturday.

Ashley Allard, UConn (Fr., F; Ottawa, Ont.) Scored the game-ginning goal in a 2-1 overtime win at Providence on Saturday, handing the Friars their first league loss since Dec. 9.

Millie Sirum, HC (Sr., F; Oslo, Norway) Racked up four points (2g, 2a) at Vermont, including scoring twice and assisting on the third goal of Friday’s 6-3 setback.

Carmen Elliott, HC (Jr., D; Stephenville, N.L.) Had two assists in game one of the UVM series for two points and had four blocks in the second game of the series.

Lilly Feeney, HC (Sr., F; Foxborough, Mass.) Registered three points (1g, 2a) in a two-game set at Vermont.

Ida Kuoppala, ME (Gr., F; Pendersore, Finland) Had a goal and an assist against Merrimack.

Rahel Enzler, ME (Sr., F; Zug, Switzerland) Extended her assist streak to four games with a helper in each game against Merrimack.

Nicole Kelly, UNH (Sr., F; Brantford, Ont.) Found the back of the net three times against Northeastern, extending her goal streak to three games (4g). She is the only player this year to score multiple goals on NU goaltender Gwyneth Philips.

Sedona Blair, UNH (Fr., G; Eden Prairie, Minn.) Picked up her first career point with an assist on Nicole Kelly’s goal at Northeastern on Saturday. She made 52 saves on the weekend.

Rylie Jones, NU (Fr., D; North Chelmsford, Mass.) Tallied one assist and four blocks in two overtime victories over New Hampshire. Jones posted an assist on the game-opening goal and one block in Saturday’s 4-3 victory. In Thursday’s win at UNH, Jones had three blocks.

Jules Constantinople, NU (So., D; East Haven, Conn.) Posted one goal, two assists and three blocks in back-to-back overtime victories over UNH. Constantinople potted the overtime game-winner and an assist on Thursday at UNH. She then posted an assist in the overtime victory at home and finished her week with a plus-three rating.

Rachel Weiss, PC (Sr., F; Calgary, Alta.) Handed out three assists to push her point streak to three games (4a) in a 0-1-1 weekend against No. 11 UConn.

Audrey Knapp, PC (Fr., F; Stevens Point, Wis.) Scored the lone goal in a 2-1 setback to No. 11 UConn and netted the shootout winning goal after a 2-2 tie with the Huskies to deliver an extra league point for the Friars.

Natalie Mlynkova, UVM (Sr., F; Zlin, Czechia) Scored three goals in a weekend sweep of Holy Cross.

Jessie McPherson, UVM (Sr., G; Chatham, Ont) Earned two wins in league play and is now unbeaten in her last three starts after making 32 saves in a weekend sweep of Holy Cross.
